WPPI LAS VEGAS 2015 INTERNATIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW.
IT WAS SURE GREAT TO HANGOUT WITH SOME OF THE WORLD'S GREAT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS INCLUDING YERVANT, GHIONIS, AND ROBERTO VALENZUELA.
Roberto talked about outdoor lighting and his great posing techniques. Prior to his talk and while waiting for him to appear on the speakers platform his associate CHRIS BURTON JACOME entertained us with beautiful flamingo guitar.
Jerry Ghionis from Australia tantalized us with creative techniques for transforming everyday locations into beautiful wedding pictures. He also gave us some tremendous posing techniques illustrating his flamboyant style.
Scott Kelby a LIGHTROOM and PHOTOSHOP genius showed us many editing techniques that can make your wedding photos "pop".
As I have discussed in previous posts all of my wedding photos are taken in camera raw so that post processing of the images is necessary. Camera raw allows a photographer to capture all of the information available in the scene rather than losing data by saving directly to J-PEG. This post processing usually improves the final result resulting in a better quality photo!
There were literally hundreds of top equipment suppliers at the convention including Nikon and Canon. The convention is an excellent way to keep abreast of techniques and current technology in photography. Wedding supply vendors and photo lab offerings were almost overwhelming but as always exciting.
All work and no play? LAS VEGAS has plenty of options to entertain.
Thanks To CANON and BAYPHOTO for an exciting night club experience at Hakkasan at the MGM GRAND Hotel where the Photo Show was headquartered.
THANK YOU WPPI!
